A high-level delegation from China, led by the Mayor of Shenzhen, Mr. Qin Weizhong, has arrived in Liberia for a three-day official visit aimed at enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, and agriculture.

The 14-member delegation touched down in Liberia on April 16, marking an important step forward in the growing relationship between the two nations.

During their stay, the delegation is expected to engage in meetings with senior Liberian government officials, participate in high-level business-to-business forums, and tour strategic sites identified for their investment potential.

According to Liberia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit follows the 2024 China-Liberia Trade and Investment Forum held in Shenzhen on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

“The visit by Mayor Qin and his delegation underscores the growing momentum in Liberia-China relations and is expected to pave the way for multiple collaborative initiatives focused on trade, agriculture, and cultural exchange,” the Ministry stated.
