Watanga FC’s head coach, Cooper Sannah, has returned to the Liberian national team as an assistant coach, supporting Thomas Kojo.
Coach Sannoh previously served as an assistant to Coach Keita in 2023 before both were ousted by the Liberian FA for reasons related to 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 – Result.
Liberia is set to compete against Sierra Leone on Sunday in the AFCON Championship qualifiers, a tournament for domestic players from African nations.
Kojo has chosen Cooper as his deputy, aiming to retain many of the players that worked under coach Mario – He will leverage their recent national team experience effectively.
Preparations for Sunday’s match against Sierra Leone will commence on Wednesday evening in Monrovia for the Liberian national team before they leave for Sierra Leone.
The team will play against Sierra Leone both at home and away, with the victor advancing to face Senegal in the subsequent round of the qualifiers.
